The Historic Commission

WELCOME TO THE HISTORIC COMMISSION OF HATBORO

THE HISTORIC COMMISSION OF HATBORO'S LETTER OF INTRODUCTION TO OUR COMMUNITY
With the recent retiring of Dave Shannon who served for years as Hatboro's beloved Historian, the Hatboro Borough Council made a decision to select a new Historian, Timothy J. Schultz, and five other community volunteers to form the first Hatboro Historic Commission. Each commissioned member will serve a term from one to four years on the committee. Our first meeting was held in February of 2017.

Our Mission Statement

The Historic Commission of Hatboro inspires the community to participate in the passion for our rich history by raising awareness using interactive events, activities, and advertising in an effort to encourage preservation and maintenance of historically significant artifacts that can be shared with future generations.

We are currently collecting stories from anyone who currently resides in or grew up in Hatboro, has or has had a business in Hatboro, anyone who once lived or worked in Hatboro, or their parents or grandparents once lived or worked in Hatboro. Below, you will find a questionnaire for you to fill out and send to us. We are also willing to meet with you to get your story and turn it into highstory by making a voice recording or your memories of Hatboro. We will then place your digital story, with your permission, of course, onto our Website and Facebook pages. Please contact us on Facebook and let us know if you are interested.
