A Message From The Hatboro Police Department

Hatboro Police Department to Participate in the Thanksgiving "Click It or Ticket" Seat Belt Enforcement Mobilization

The Hatboro Police Department will participate in day and night seat belt enforcement activities as part of the national Thanksgiving "Click It or Ticket" Enforcement Mobilization from November 20th through December 3rd.

The Hatboro Police will partner with 250 other law enforcement agencies across the state to increase seat belt use and reduce the number of unbelted injuries and deaths. Departments will dedicate 50 percent of their enforcement time after dark to increase seat belt use when unbelted fatalities increase. Police officers will focus on seatbelt and traffic violations with the intent of promoting safe driving practices and safer highways.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) 2016 statewide data, 410 people killed in crashes were not wearing a seat belt.

Buckle Up PA is a project funded through PennDOT dedicated to raising the seat belt usage level in Pennsylvania through increased enforcement, public awareness and education. The partnership is comprised of municipal police departments, the Pennsylvania State Police, PennDOT, the US Department of Transportation and community groups and organizations.

Hatboro Police Department Is Now Accepting Toys For The US Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots Drive

Annually, the Hatboro Police Department proudly assists the United States Marine Corps Reserve with their "Toys For Tots" drive. It's hard to believe, but the holidays are just around the corner! The US Marines have dropped off their bin at the Hatboro Police Station and we are ready to accept new toys in their original packaging. The Police Headquarters is open 24/7, so feel free to drop off a toy in our lobby and help those less fortunate enjoy the holidays.

With Veteran's Day approaching, we wish all those that served our country a wonderful and safe holiday season!
